IAR / International Animal Rescue
IAR have launched an appeal to build a Marine Mammal
Rescue Centre in Scotland. Heritage Great Britain has now officially offered the
land for the centre to be built on. The centre will provide the facilities to
care for 50 seals at a time and will be the focal point in Scotland for the
rescue of marine wildlife in the event of environmental disasters such as the
Sea Empress or Braer which together emptied over 150,000 tonnes of oil into the
